Monitoring and evaluate the implementation /application of labour relations practices and procedures throughout all the provincial government departments. Assist the provincial departments in maintaining sound labour relations, grievance resolution and management of discipline.Assist in the promotion and maintenance of professional ethics with regard to all public servants within the provincial departments. Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the constitutional values and principles by the provincial departments. Evaluating service delivery by provincial departments and conducting research and investigations on various public service issues, e.g. service delivery, human resource practices, labour relations, fraud and corruption.

Conducting misconduct investigations. Representing the employer in disciplinary hearings. Presiding over internal disciplinary hearings. Facilitating grievance resolution. Representing the employer in conciliation & arbitration hearings. Managing the misconduct and dispute database/statistics. Provide advisory service to management and employees regarding labour issues. Conducting training and awareness workshops on labour related matters.
