I'm holding BSC Honours in Geology and Bachelor of Science degree (Majoring in Geology and Chemistry) both from University of Limpopo. I am a registered Candidate Scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions and also an active member of the International Association for Impact Assessment South Africa. I have also completed short courses in (1) Introductory to Environmental Impact Assessment, (2) Human Impact in the Natural Environment, and (3) Water Conservation and Water Demand Management for Mining Industry. I am currently working at Geovicon Environmentals PTY (Ltd) as an Environmental Officer and Ambient Noise (Impact Assessment) Specialist. My responsibilities includes but not limited to ensuring compliance with the legislations, i.e. National Water Act, (No. 36 of 1998), National Environmental Management Act (No. 107 of 1998), National Environmental Management : Air Quality Act (Act:39 of 2004), National Control Noise Regulations in terms of Section 25 of the Environment Conservation Act (Act No. 73 of 1989).* Surface Water and Groundwater Monitoring and report writing. * Air Quality Monitoring and report writing. * Conducting internal and external Environmental Audits (e.g. WUL, EMPr's, etc) * Assisting with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) *Compiling and Updating Integrated Water and Wasterwater Management Plans (IWWMP) I am also involved in application of Mining permits, prospecting rights, mining rights and Water Use Licenses.
