I worked at South Essex College for twelve years in various roles including Careers Advisor, Student Services Team Leader (Careers and IAG) and Maths Lecturer teaching Foundation GCSE Maths. In all years my higher pass rate was over 20% compared to a national average of 12% in comparable students. For two years my higher pass rate was at 40%, over three times the national average. My data management skills, project management and evidence-based practice allowed me to achieve such high results with my students. I am able to problem solve, evaluate, research and apply evidence to achieve results. I am able to be creative and use excellent presentation skills in order to help a wide range of learners to progress in ways which suit their individual needs. I am very passionate about disabled rights and work hard to ensure that all of my students could access education without being disadvantaged. My MS Office skills are excellent and I have recently undertaken an IT User Skills qualification to reinforce these skills. Education and continual learning are very important to me. I am keen to find a role that has the opportunity to undertake further qualifications and training.
