-Provided French to English translation and proofreading of Bluedot Editions 2018/2019 catalogue, reviewing, translating and recording 4+ books.-Ensured the quality and content of the translations by actively targeting the intended age group and harmonizing language and vocabulary across all target texts; organised and prioritised the workflow depending on upcoming deadlines.-Worked well within the Bluedot team, rising from intern status to translator in 3 months, demonstrating flexibility, passion and excellent interpersonal skills; was able to use initiative to create and propose original additional content to the editors.

- Translated and subtitled feature-lengths documentary, “Making Montgomery Clift” for regional queer film festival Écrans Mixtes. -Provided accurate and sensitive French subtitles, researching queer culture and using gender-neutral terminology when appropriate; ensured that word and character count as well as read time was respected.-Organised and coordinated communication channels within the subtitling team to deliver a finished product in a short time delay by using excellent interpersonal skills as well as good group- and time- management.

-Provided consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in both French and English for award-winning author Emily Witt’s conference about her book, Futur Sex. -Prior to the event, I was able to efficiently manage prep time to research terminology and vocabulary; was also able to use both notes and initiative during the event itself.- Collaborated with a colleague in 30min stretches to guarantee that content and tone came across in both languages; ensured that the client was able to understand and respond to questions from the audience by using whispering techniques.
