As a Support Engineer I directly assist customers with a wide range of complex problems ranging from front end application issues to CI/CD troubleshooting. I utilize every possible learned technology skill to solve for problems, but more importantly I collaborate with colleagues on unfamiliar territory to come up with solutions.

As the Advanced Tech Support Supervisor, I manage 6 Technical Support Leads (Tier 2 Technicians) in their daily operations. My primary goal is to support our senior customer support techs, and ensure that they have all of the tools they need to succeed and provide the best support to our customers. I work closely with our techs as well as our engineering and software development departments to ensure that we're able to tackle all of our most complex problems as a team. I also maintain our internal documentation as well as ongoing training & learning for the entire Customer Support department.

As a Customer Support Technical Team Lead at (mt) Media Temple, I provided direct assistance to other agents. I ensured that all agents were successful with their interactions with customers, provided coaching and training, and helped guide agents in both technical and procedural aspects of their every day operations. I communicated with engineering teams and supervisors on incidents, as well discussed and troubleshooted wide customer facing issues. I also provided senior support for escalated customer issues, documented and reported bugs, and provided backup to supervisors where necessary.

I assisted them with both technical and billing aspects of their accounts, helping them make the most out of the servers and guiding them to solve and understand technical issues from email to server management. Here, I have learned to understand the Linux command line, Plesk and cPanel server management software, general WordPress knowledge as well as a broad range of internal and external tools that help me perform my job. Through the 2 years I spent as a Customer Support Agent, I was able to progress from a Level 1 to Level 3 agent.
