Dr. Clewlow is the CEO & Founder of Populus, an enterprise SaaS data platform that empowers cities to manage the future of mobility. She has a Ph.D. from MIT in transportation systems, a bachelor's degree in computer science, and a master's in civil and environmental engineering from Cornell. Prior to her doctoral degree, Regina founded and was the first Executive Director of Engineers for a Sustainable World, an international non-profit backed by the National Science Foundation and UNESCO that transformed engineering education.As a transportation researcher at Stanford, UC Berkeley, and UC Davis, Dr. Clewlow's work developed and harnessed new datasets to measure the adoption of, and impacts of shared-use mobility (ridesharing) and automated/ autonomous vehicles on travel behavior, vehicle purchase, and energy use. Her research and commentary on the future of transportation has been featured in publications and media across the world, including The New York Times, NPR, The Economist, and Fortune.Regina actively coaches other entrepreneurs and loves to teach - she has been a guest lecturer at the Stanford School of Business, MIT Mobility Initiative, and UC Berkeley.
