My retail career has given me the opportunity to do what I enjoy - work with people and help them to be the best they can be.I am an experienced retail leader with 30 years of experience at all levels of responsibility. I started out as an employee on the floor and progressed through all levels of leadership, up to and including General Manager. I have been fortunate enough to work with many talented leaders over the years and I have learned a lot in my journey. I enjoy helping and serving my customers and believe that exceptional customer service goes a long way. I measure success by my ability to understand and fulfill my customer’s needs - and not just in selling a person what they want but also ensuring that they are happy with their purchase for years to come. Through this relationship, they come to trust me. Working with my team is important to me and I go the extra distance to acknowledge and recognize my associates as we reach our operational targets and goals. And I usually find a way to have a little fun along the way.Development and training of associates is a true passion of mine and seeing them grow and succeed in their career, I feel, is the true measure of a successful General Manager. As I have a genuine need to serve, I have worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Winnipeg in some capacity over the past 20 years. Helping children reach their potential is an amazing feeling and I am grateful for the opportunity that has been afforded to me by this amazing organization.
