A chartered chemist with over 8 years of experience of delivering corrosion and materials based consultancy projects to nuclear industry clients, I have led the technical delivery of several projects ranging from laboratory test programmes to desk based corrosion substantiations and risk assessments. I have significant experience of working independently on client sites to undertake corrosion and oxidation related inspections. As part of my current role, I undertake corrosion substantiation reviews; these tend to focus on risk assessing aged plant items against potential degradation mechanisms to either support continued operations, or for repurposing to align with changes to plant processes. Projects that I undertake typically feed into corrosion management strategies and models relevant to all aspects of the nuclear life cycle. I am an enthusiastic team member with a personal commitment to my continuing professional development. With strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement, my roles to date have all been client-facing and I always look to promote positive working relationships to ensure the best technical outcome.
