I started in the construction field at age 15 as a laborer for a brick mason, I progressed on in that field to become a Mason before realizing there had to be an easier way to make a living. So I went into building houses and roofing this was also a very hard way to make a living. After about 7 years working with a home builder I started working with Duke Power at the Nuclear projects as a welders helper. This progressed into the Pipe Fitters field where I stayed for the next 10 years. I was working as a fitter and the company wanted me to start running the crew as a Foreman which I did for 5 years and moved on up to the General Foreman position. This lead me to into the Superintendent position which I'm currently in. I've seen it all from the Civil, Structural, Mechanical, HVAC, Instrumentation, which works well for me in this Maintenance Superintendent position I currently hold.
