The goal of the FOCUS Program is to enable partners to develop and share replicable best practices in routine blood-borne virus (HIV, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B) screening, diagnosis, and linkage to care in accordance with screening guidelines recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), and state and local public health departments. The program will routinely screen eligible patients for HIV and HCV and patients who are identified as HIV or HCV positive will be connected to a project-supported patient navigator who will assist with linkage to first medical appointment.
