I was the assistant to the NCOIC responsible for all equipment and all software systems in the unit. I assisted with the installation of the $750,000 FMQ-19 automated weather observation system. I replaced and installed 22 small computers and associated hardware. I designed and implemented the system to disseminate our critical weather information over TV.

As the Government purchasing agent for my unit I was responsible for taking the requests from the unit commander and finding the items that met the requirements. I then made sure that the purchase would follow all of the guidelines from the USAF. I then tracked all shipments and deliveries, ensured all items were put in the USAF inventory, and disseminated.
