Leads a dynamic and growing privately held company focused on modernizing the U.S. electrical grid with renewable energy generation and storage technologies. His responsibilities include personnel management, process development and improvement, company level financial reporting and coordination of project specific financing.

Cliff has been active in the renewable energy field in Hawaii and Western U.S. since 2007. As a developer and consultant, he developed and constructed over 8 utility scale solar PV projects, for clients such as Johnson Controls, Inc., Scatec Solar North America, Hunt Development, Hanwha Q Cells, Macquarie Infrastructure Corporation, Forest City, Carmel Partners and HC&D. For several projects, Cliff led the financing effort and was the original developer for the largest PV project on Oahu achieving commercial operations in 2016. Prior to working at Meridian 158, LLC, he served as Vice President of Technology at Hawaii BioEnergy LLC, a consortium of land owners and investors committed to producing biomass for power and liquid fuels in the islands. He also spent three years working at Maui Land & Pineapple Company Inc. in their land development division with a focus projects within the Kapalua Resort in West Maui.

Cliff held various leadership roles related to constructing and maintaining shore facilities at several domestic and overseas military bases. While stationed at Guantanamo Bay during the mid-1990s, Cliff supervised approximately 160 civilian and military personnel in maintaining over 1,200 permanent Naval Station facilities and large tent cities with over 30,000 Cuban and Haitian asylum seekers. At the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, he was an assistant contracting officer managing contractors completing new construction projects on the Base. In addition, Cliff proudly served with the US Navy Seabees for four years during overseas deployments and as Officer in Charge of 40 person construction unit. Notably, Cliff was General James Mattis’s staff engineer during the planning and execution of the Afghanistan invasion in late 2001.
