My last employment with W&L Group has seen development of some rather interesting media insert and cover products for the publication media industry as well as bringing on board for W&L their biggest client to date Lidl Uk. Over the 10 years working and developing retail graphics for Lidl this has seen some transformations over the years and feel proud to have been part of their success story so far. My role at W&L was to develop new business across the three core print services of Large Format POS, Litho Web Inline and Litho sheetfed manufacturing.- Design/Innovation with paper based formats, taking initial briefs/concepts and to develop to white paper dummies- Introducing innovative and cost effective materials where possible

Responsible to the Business Development Director for selling direct mail print to a portfolio of blue chip and inactive accounts worth £850.000 as well as introducing new business. Building customer relationships by offering print solutions including4-colour process, web/sheet print, data processing, continuous and sheet Iasering, and special finishing. AchievementsIncreased new business by £170,000 in seven months.Renegotiated contractual business worth £300.000 in six months.

Responsible to the Managing Director for a portfolio of blue chip clients, key accounts and developing new print brokerage business. Introduced direct mail into the range of services on offer. Buying and selling print, including web and sheet print, special SCITEX inline personalisation products, security products and standard off the shelf items. AchievementsIntroduced WRBF to the direct mail market of special products.Opened up a new market and revenue stream resulting in £250,000 new business.

Responsible to the General Manager for servicing blue chip companies and introducing new business. Promoting and selling direct mail print including 4 colour process continuous web offset print and lettershop services, plus selling a range of BPC products including catalogue production, polywrapping, finishing, enclosing and envelope products. Originally employed as Senior Sales Executive selling continuous web offset business forms and security print. AchievementsPromoted to Business Development Manager Secured three year contract worth £1.2m with Inland Revenue for design and print of security payable orders.Early Career Development Commenced work as an Apprentice Typesetter/Artist with Walker Print (NCS) Ltd. Typesetting through to final paste-up and final camera operating (79-83). Joined Hardy Business Forms Ltd as a Paste-up Artist producing layouts for a wide range of stationery items (83 -86). Progressed to Graphic Designer with Polestar Leeds Direct (Previously known as Waterlow Petty Business Forms Ltd.), originating artwork by the means of digitally composing text files and graphical images (’86 - ‘89). I then briefly joined the family business at their request and was responsible for smooth running administration, accounts and buying for a limited company. (‘89 -‘90).
