This included responsibility for all investment banking activity, primary and secondary, outside of Japan as well as all middle and back-office functions. Created a cohesive international platform from a set of independent subsidiaries, established a high performance management team, implemented an infrastructure and control environment fit for purpose, reformed governance to meet the requirements of multiple global regulators , finally led a headcount of 1600 to successfully embrace firm wide change of culture, values and branding. Results included a tripling of revenues to 1.4bn US, no regulatory infractions in a difficult market environment, and the firm being voted top three in "best financial institutions to work in" for multiple years.

Responsible for the securities and investment banking operations of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) in Europe and CEMEAIn this role transformed Mitsubishi UFJ Securities from a largely yen based distribution arm of the Tokyo operation to a fully-fledged multi-currency, multi product investment banking operation with underwriting capability and a related corporate derivative capability that is a peer of any of the major financial institutions in EMEA. This required a complete change of senior management, infrastructure, MIS, culture and values. It also required the prompt response to a number of legacy issues and creating a high performance culture with an early adoption of values as the primary driver of results.

Developed and managed an alternative asset management business including infrastructure, private equity and special situations with an emphasis on emerging markets

Responsible for investment management, business development and overall strategic direction of Citigroup's funds of hedge funds group and single manager hedge fund platform. Member of Management committee with oversight over $40bn in real estate, private equity, credit structures and hedge funds.Directly responsible for $4bn in client and proprietary assets distributed across a variety of multi-manager and sector vehicles including a 40 Act fund, numerous structured products and institutional custom accounts.

Responsible for strategic planning, oversight of operational policy and procedure, development and supervision of risk and valuation services in the Alternative Asset class and the development of structured products on the Plusfunds platform

Responsible for UBS's Emerging Markets Business globally. Responsible for strategic planning, revenue projections, budgets and staffing as well as integration of Eastern Europe and Asia to control global EM exposure and provide 24 hr risk management and client servicing. Initiatives included acquisition of a Brazilian Bank and an Argentine Broker-Dealer to expand local instrument trading

Directed Swiss Bank/UBS's Latin American secondary debt, derivative, local instrument and foreign exchange trading franchise in an integrated EM cross product venture.
