EXPERIENCEDavid Cliff graduated from the University of Exeter (UK) in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Geology with Honours. He worked for Exploration Logging from 1981 to 1985 in Australia and Agip Australia from 1985 to 1987. In 1987 he joined Bridge Oil Ltd in Sydney and was employed as a geologist and then senior geologist and worked on many of Australia's petroleum basins including the Otway Basin. In 1995 after the purchase of Bridge Oil firstly by Parker and Parsley and then Santos, David worked as a petroleum resource analysis for Burdett Buckeridge and Young in Sydney before moving to Perth as a consultant geologist with Mitsubishi, Gulf, PGS and Shell over the next three years. In 2000 David joined Woodside and worked as a senior geologist in the South East Australian exploration team and Australian new ventures team. David then moved to Hardman Resources to take up the position of Asset Manager – Timor Sea in 2004. At Hardman he was later appointed Exploration Manager for a worldwide portfolio of exploration assets. After the purchase of Hardman by Tullow Oil, David was Exploration Manager – East Africa for Aminex PLC supervising exploration in Tanzania, Madagascar and Kenya from Perth. In July 2008 David took up the roll of Managing Director of Gas Link Global Limited which was involved in seeking out gas resources to process as LNG by its parent company Liquefied Natural Gas Limited which is developing mid-scale LNG plants in Gladstone, Queensland.From March 2010 to March 2014 David was the Exploration Manager for Neon Energy, an Australian listed company with production interests in California and Exploration blocks offshore Vietnam and Indonesia.In April 2014 David has taken up the position of Head of Geoscience at RISC in West Perth.
