After programming for more than two decades using more than a dozen languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, C#, C/C++, Java, Ruby, and Perl, I've learned that knowing how to solve a problem using a specific technology is not enough. Every solution must also fit into a system that is often developed and maintained by several people over many years. My real-world experience developing and integrating solutions into shipping software has become one of my greatest assets. I am looking to take my experiences and lead teams in building exceptional software.I've evolved strong views on how software should be developed. I believe in valuing people over process, working software over documentation, collaboration over negotiation, and changing course over sticking to a failing plan. I feel teams should have end-to-end ownership of a problem; be able to make a decision and not be overridden. Teams need the freedom to fail so we can set lofty goals and build trust; not just in delivering, but in failing with grace and recovering.
