Kyocera Wireless is a major manufacturer and designer of CDMA cell phones. My responsibilities as a senior test engineer included writing and implementing test plans for new phone projects, attending the NPI prototype builds and the factory pilot launch, collecting and publishing the test station yields & identifying/resolving yield issues, collecting and analyzing test station data with statistical analysis including CPK & standard deviation. I created several Excel VBA (Visual Basic Application) macros with crunched the raw data, graphed the data and published reports with recommendations for limit changes and test removal. I was part of a major reduction in force in Jan, 2009 and am currently looking for full time employment in the San Diego area as a test engineer, manufacturing engineer, or similar position.

Ranger Communications is a major designer and manufacturer of Land Mobile Radios (LMR) for commercial business, government (police, public works), as well as Maritime Mobile Radios (for ships), and Amateur Radio Communication. My responsibilities were to lead design team of 4 engineers to design various RF communications equipment. We designed a Rural Telephone System which extended conventional land based telephone lines using RF links. Also designed a digital paging FM transmitter.I also performed field service support world-wide for Ranger products, traveling throughout the United States, Asia and Europe.I performed QA inspection of product, created required engineering documentation, wrote product manuals, supervised draftsmen in engineering drawings, trained technical staff.
