PureBlend started as a graphic design studio, and morphed into a web design house as our clients increasingly sought an online presence. Over time, we expanded into building web apps for e-commerce, support, and services. We ultimately became a software developer/publisher and changed the company name and identity.

BroadCastSoft and its its “Software Unboxed” store was an early player in secure Electronic Software Distribution technology which I co-founded to help sell my own apps (from DublClick Software). The BroadCastSoft solution deployed locked software for purchase via disc and online services.

After selling my Artword Graphics design studio, I founded DublClick Software to create content for the newly introduced Apple Macintosh computer whose graphical user interface had so intrigued me as a typesetter and programmer.

While a junior at CalArts, I founded ArtWord, purchased one of the first computerized typesetting machines, and taught myself to program it. To eliminate re-typing of client data content, I wrote programs to read the various disc and file formats employed by our clients’ word processing equipment and send that data to our typesetting equipment.
