Worked closely with cyclotron engineers to provide seamless system and network integration with proton beam delivery systems and radiation detectors. Built custom firmware images for Wyse thin clients and integrated Single Sign-On and desktop roaming for clinical efficiency. Designed and developed the Ripley Wearable Computer based on Debian GNU/Linux and open source software as an adaptive technology platform for individuals with disabilities. The Ripley Wearable Computer and its custom built components were featured in Scott Fullam’s book, "Hardware Hacking Projects For Geeks". Modified VGA and NTSC monocular head-mounted displays for use with wearable computers. Built custom Linux kernels and device drivers for the Ripley Wearable Computer. Designed custom rechargeable battery packs for 24-hour endurance mountain bike race lighting systems.

Performed energy audits and advised large industrial and commercial manufacturing companies on efficient energy use and management under New York State's Energy Advisory Service to Industry (EASI) program and developed the cross-platform report generation system later adopted by the New York State Energy Office and Cornell University. Performed furnace and product stress testing and analysis with VTEC's custom cone calorimeter. Installed spray foam insulation at commercial and industrial sites. Established VTEC as an Authorized Apple Developer. Developed Molytek2Mac for data acquisition of real-time furnace data during product testing.
