Cliff is a planner and landscape architect with over 25 years of experience, and he leads our planning and landscape architecture practice in Colorado. He has in-depth knowledge of open space planning and design highlighted by work with clients including; the National Park Service, Boulder County, Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Larimer County, Mesa County, Natrona County (WY), numerous municipalities, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and the Bureau of Land Management. This work encompasses trails, shuttle systems, and technically challenging accessible routes in sensitive areas. Connecting to these multimodal facilities, Cliff has planned and designed numerous trailheads, overlooks, interpretive areas, and water access facilities. Cliff’s planning work is focused on providing clearly defined ideas that address client needs, and securing the municipal, state, and federal regulatory compliance required. To implement these ideas, Cliff works closely with our integrated design teams and helps deliver carefully designed, engineered and detailed bid-ready documentation. Cliff has worked with the National Park Service from coast to coast as a lead designer, planner, and project manager. Currently, Cliff is leading the design for three water access points along the Snake River in Grand Teton, and is the project manager and lead planner for a 30 year vision for improvements at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Closer to home, Cliff is helping Boulder County plan a trail from Boulder to Erie along an unused railroad right of way, and wrapping up the documentation for the North Foothills Integrated Site Plan with Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks.
