Appointed from staff position to WIA Coordinator reporting to the Director in ensuring that schedules are met, guidelines are adhered to, and performances are of adequate quality. Supervise staff to include assigning duties and evaluating work performance. Establish local operational policies and procedures and make necessary modifications as needed. Represent the organization at high schools, career fairs, community events, and conferences in a professional and articulate manner. Administer and interpret career assessment inventories using computerized career tools (i.e. evaluation of interest/aptitude and academic achievement using TABE and/or Computer Learning Works). Prepare Individual Employability Plan/Individual Service Strategy (IEP/ISS). Provide career exploration, case management, job search, resume, and follow-up on participants. Work with youth, adults, and dislocated workers to determine eligible WIA status.
