Manage the Miami Dade and South Coast areas’ dispatch office for the Southern Region, which includes 5 order takers and 2 shippers. The office provides customer service to all our jobs in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties with the use of 94 drivers, and 14 plants. I am responsible for enhancing the performance of the customer service department by means of training, quarterly evaluations, annual reviews, merit increases, and hiring new customer service personnel.

I supervised Tarmac Southern Region's dispatch office that dispatched 9 plants in Dade and Broward counties with 119 drivers and 120 trucks. Assisted the shippers in directing the plants and trucks for overall fleet efficiency to maximize customer satisfaction. Oversaw the scheduling of orders. Prepared monthly reports for management. Coordinated with the maintenance department the maintenance of plants and trucks to minimize disruptions during peak delivering periods. Set daily and weekly schedules for the dispatch department staff.

I oversaw the scheduling of orders for the 7 plants in the Southern Region, and reported any possible service problems to the dispatch manager.

I was responsible of taking orders from customers and the commitment of the delivery time. Received all incoming dispatch related phone calls. I was also responsible for providing good customer service by maximizing the utilization of trucks and drivers.

I was responsible for the supervision of 18 drivers, customer service, receiving orders by telephone, and the batching and dispatching of the orders. Other duties included data processing of account receivables along with all orders processed and pending.

I was directly responsible for the management of the consignment physical inventory including managing location, counts, pricing, and safeguarding of materials. I coordinated inventory procedures with management and accounting. I also reviewed the BER and CB lists monthly and meet with management to decide disposition. I handled shipping and receiving of daily sales, warranties, repairs, exchanges and credits. Expedited repair orders.

Responsible with four other technicians for the repair and maintenance of 36 TOW II Missile Launchers and the test and training equipment that accompanies them.

I was involved in the deployment of Second Marine Division to the Persian Gulf. My unit provided repair and maintenance support for 72 TOW II missile launchers attached to various units throughout the 2nd Marine Division. My company, Anti-Tank TOW Company, 8th Tank Battalion was awarded various medals while deployed overseas. Honorable Discharge.
