Original and complex copy cataloging of library materials, ongoing authority control, database maintenance and bibliographic training of library staff.

Provides research services to the public. Instructs members and trains library branch personnel in use of online and electronic resources, computer usage and all on-site technology instruction. Regularly interprets and explains system policies and procedures to the public and resolves member complaints. Responsible for opening and closing the building and periodically the only supervisor on-site. Performs collection development materials selection, evaluates prospective presenter applications and creates adult instructional activities for groups and individuals. Conducts public speaking for outreach events and weekly for technology training classes.

Trains branch professionals/paraprofessionals for adult, teen and children zoom digital activities.

Establishes methods of communications that tell the story of FLA and its members. Actively assists other committees in coordinating the appropriate communications method for all initiatives, including the annual conference and other year-round programs.

Create quarterly association newsletters and event flyers.

Represent public libraries at Board of Directors meetings. Work to ensure the association is meeting goals and objectives.

Oversee all programming at PBCLA. Responsible for Quarterly Meetings and Talk & Taste events.

Provided reference services. Received exceptional customer service affirmations reflected in 3-month, 6-month and 1st year performance evaluations. Heavily involved in all branch outreach to community groups. Participated and completed PBCLS Mentorship Program with Max McMillian, former Audiovisual Collection Development Librarian. Palm Beach County Library System, Volunteer, Lantana Road Branch, FL Circulation, Reference and general shelving of information resources and services to patrons of the library. • Assists library patrons to navigate the SIRSI ILS resources • Provides technical support to patrons on computers and internet • Shelves all library information resources (DVD’s, CD’s, audiobooks, etc.)

Served as Gallery & Customer Service Associate for the community-based arts educational program. Provided customer service to Palm Beach County’s culturally and demographically diverse community. Functioned as liaison between gallery patrons, students, parents and gallery administration. Supervisor for both employees and interns. Provided Director with administrative support in preparation of catalogs/lists/labels for exhibit installations and related community education and outreach efforts. Coordinated and assisted with large group installations (in excess of 200 student exhibits); includes frequent moderate to heavy lifting (50-100 lbs) and preparatory work on walls/floors/lighting.

Researched, organized, compiled and maintained data input for county section of federally funded, statewide public resource database for at-risk communities. Independently organized cataloged and indexed several hundred early 20th century American pro-socialist articles and related media (books, pamphlets, etc.); digitized hours of graduate level oral history reports; organized several sections of the Library’s expansive 5th floor. Work included access and utilization of multiple cross-relational database systems, requiring acute attention to detail and precise adherence to instructions and process as directed by professional staff.
