Investment research at a systematic, market-neutral hedge fund. Designed and ran a leverage-efficient equities strategy focused on global commodity companies. Bootstrapped a second strategy and recruited a highly qualified quantitative investment professional with an appropriate skill set to run it.Designed and built a large portion of our upgraded technology infrastructure using the latest tools on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Kubernetes, Airflow, etc). Created a suite of easily accessible and effective visualizations for portfolio monitoring as well as detailed attribution for individual bets.

I followed strong interests in markets, macro, and the shifting investment environment by securing a role in research at Bridgewater. My primary focus was building and selecting technology for exploratory analysis. I recruited and hired technologists, managed projects, and led collaboration efforts with analytics arms of tech companies where I felt our research department could benefit from outside processes and technologies. I loved the people and ideas in the investment community and spent much of my spare time working on investment analysis projects.

OrgSync was acquired by Leeds Equity Partners In February 2015.I started as a member of the founding team at OrgSync while studying Computer Science at The University of Texas. I ended up building most of the early application architecture, led all aspects product management and development, worked directly with many of our great customers to design and develop new features, scaled to millions of users, recruited and built a team of really great product developers with little to no employee turnover, worked closely with existing customers, directed product strategy, worked hands-on with prospects to close large enterprise deals, and otherwise wore every hat to help OrgSync grow from the garage phase to a successful company, and ultimately, its exit.
