This was an academic research work equivalent to 18 credits to fulfill the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Water Resources Development. Under this research study, have done the following works-1. Assessed the impacts of 18 pesticides in a perennial wetland system which is an ago-ecological zone of Bangladesh.2. A complex model called Pesticide Impact Rating Index (PIRI) developed by Land and Water, Australia was used to evaluate the impact. 3. Impact was assessed on 4 ecological indicators such as Daphina, Catfish, Algae and Rat.Outcome of the research1. Based on the findings, a recommendations to ban 4 pesticides was provided.2. A model to implement Integrated Pest Management System was developed.
