I am a registered patent attorney admitted to practice in the state of Texas, before the U.S. Patent Trademark Office, and before the U.S. District Courts of the Western, Eastern, and Southern Districts of Texas.I am a senior counsel at Jackson Walker LLP. My practice is focused on intellectual property law, particularly drafting and prosecution of patents in multiple arts, including mechanical, medical, electronic, software, and business methods in both domestic and PCT applications. I also have experience in drafting and negotiating intellectual property licensing agreements from both the licensor and licensee perspectives; IP litigation; trademark procurement and enforcement; copyright registration procurement and enforcement; entertainment issues; and Internet issues. I also have expertise in Internet/e-commerce, life sciences and medical technology, entertainment, and technology.I enjoy speaking and regularly teach adult education classes through the NISD and NEISD, and am a guest lecturer at UTSA. I have been involved in professional groups in San Antonio, such as the San Antonio Austin Life Sciences Association (SAALSA), the San Antonio Technology Accelerator Initiative (SATAI), the Technology Advocates of San Antonio (TASA), and the North San Antonio Chamber.
