Following the completion of his BFA in Dance at NYU Tisch, Clint performed with Yann Lheureux as well as with Eun Me Ahn. From 2003-2010, Clint was founder and co-director of the LUCKY TRIMMER platform in Berlin. His choreography, often interactive and created to be adaptable to various spaces, is as inspired by human fragility as it is by joy and laughter. He has created performances with professionals well as non-professionals in dance studios, psychological care facilities, prisons, hospitals, elderly care homes and elsewhere. Beginning in 2012, he began working more intently on research and creative projects with non-professionals using improvisation methods, in particular with people living with movement disorders. In 2018 he created the company DaPoPa. Clint joined the Troupe de l’Imaginaire at the Théâtre de la Ville in 2020. He is associated artist of the European project Dance Well at La Briqueterie CDCN since 2022. As a pedagogue, he has taught for the Akram Khan Company, Australian Dance Theater, CND, ImPulsTanz, CCN de Grenoble and Rillieux-la-Pape, Tanzhaus Zurich, and at Cal St. Fullerton, NYU and the Univ. of South Florida. Consultations DanséesTheatre De La Ville Jun 2020 - PresentParis, Île-De-France, FranceSince the first lockdown, more than 200 French and international artists - actors, musicians, dancers - as well as several renowned scientists have united under the direction of Demarcy-Mota to offer Poetic Consultations, first by phone, but also as soon as possible, with physical presence in the public space, hospitals, schools, universities and social centers.A poetic consultation is a 20 minutes individual conversation with an artist. It begins with a simple question: "How are you?" Based on the answer a poem, a dance or a music is selected by the artist as a "poetic prescription" and read or performed, by phone, or in the streets and public gardens of the city, wherever possible.Initiated as a means to fight isolation and preserve activities for artists during the first lockdown, the project has evolved in different forms, always remaining free of charge for the public. To this date 25,000 people from all around the world have taken part, through partnerships in Europe, Asia and 10 countries in Africa where consultations are held during the pandemic period.Launched in March 2020, the Poetic consultations by phone quickly become a great success. The telephone abolishes distances, actors call people all over the world: from Sydney to New Delhi, from Beirut to Dakar, Taipei, Chicago, Bogota....During the first lockdown, nearly 100 people are called every day, and thousands of poems are shared by more than 120 actors in individual 20-minute exchanges. This international artistic ensemble is called "la Troupe de l'Imaginaire". -

Associated Artist At DapopaDapopa Apr 2016 - Oct 2024FranceDaPoPa (Danse Pour Parkinson) is a non-profit association launched in 2016 fueled by the inclusive work of dancer Clint Lutes. Its mission is to use artistic expression as a bridge between community, artistic and scientific research in relation to neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease (PD).We create movement activities that are accessible to all and encourage the exploration of physical, social, cognitive and identity development. We provide a generous and safe environment and welcome participants of all ages and abilities to share their experiences whether or not they have been diagnosed with PD.Our activities are influenced by topics related to Parkinson’s Disease and their connection with environmental awareness, social interactions and daily life. By working with the body to understand its possibilities and capacities, DaPoPa’s associated artists use themes such as pleasure, communication, intention, isolation and control to design our movement explorations. These are characterized by the study of touch, verbal and nonverbal exchange, body awareness, physical environment and lots of play! Through play we discover, learn and can interpret and answer questions in multiple ways.DaPoPa is supported by l’Album-AbcDanse, France Parkinson, micadanses and a wonderful team of interns, teachers and volunteers. -
