As part of Atkins Technical Professional Organization our Team provides on a broad spectrum of engineering projects. Our focus is to maintain our strong reputation as efficient and creative project managers, trusted advisors and technical experts in the transportation engineering industry.In addition to the technical responsibilities this position provides the opportunity to work closely with Atkins Marketing and Business Development Units to assist with client retention, emerging markets and strategic pursuits.

Currently serving as the Office Manager for the Richmond, Virginia office. I have the opportunity to work with an excellent group of professionals building the Transportation Design service line for Atkins North America, Inc. Our focus is to build strong relationships with our clients to establish strong reputations as efficient and creative project managers as well as solidify our position as trusted advisors in the transportation industry.I greatly appreciate this opportunity and this new challenge as I work with my associates to build this program.

In this position I have had the opportunity to work with an excellent group of professionals in a wide variety of projects with varying responsibilities. These have included project delivery as a project manager and design team member, business development in emerging markets and activity within professional organizations. Highlights from this experience include being part of the I-95 Corridor Study, project planning and design for the North Carolina Turnpike Authority’s Monroe Connector-Bypass and Garden Parkway projects, City of Raleigh Morgan Street Two Way Conversion, City of Winston-Salem Motor Road Extension and the opportunity to work with the USACE in New Orleans, Louisiana, as part of the Hurricane Katrina recovery effort.

This position provided a standout opportunity for responsibility for project delivery, client retention and business development. This endeavor included supervision of a staff of engineers for the development of civil/site, municipal and NCDOT projects. Highlights include delivering a section of the Fayetteville Outer Loop in Cumberland County, Newton Road widening for the City of Raleigh and multiple site development projects.

This position provided the foundation of my career in civil engineering and desire to work in the transportation industry. Beginning at entry level, I progressively increased my responsibilities within the Department to ultimately reach a Project Design Engineer position. This opportunity included working on a wide variety of NCDOT projects, from small bridge replacement projects to large bypass and loop projects, from the conceptual phase through final design and public involvement. Highlights include working on I-540 sections of the Raleigh Outer Loop and the US 64 Knightdale Bypass.
