Positive, Responsive, Actions in Safety Excellence• Development and implementation of alternative safety programs and initiatives in support of the Strategic plan• Undertake auditing and inspections of relevant systems ascertaining compliance with legislation and approved policy/guidelines• Establish risk profiles and implement improved health and safety management systems• Conduct detailed base line risk assessments in all areas of the health service • Coordinate and review the investigation of accidents and incidents and facilitate the preparation of reports on these issues• Provide effective comprehensive health and safety and injury management consultancy services to facilities, managers and staff • Monitor and interpret health and safety legislative developments and practices and disseminate this information to relevant departmental personnel• Contribute to major, complex occupational health and safety research and projects

Promote occupational violence prevention strategies throughout the health service. Conduct investigations in relation to assaults or occupational violence related injuries in the workplace. Conduct dynamic simulation training for restrictive and team restrictive practices.
