COMMONWEALTH’S ATTORNEY, December 2000 – January 2019. Elected felony prosecutor for 49th Judicial Circuit, Simpson & Allen Counties. Handled Circuit Court motion days, Grand Juries and felony jury trials. Handled over 20 homicide cases, including six Capital cases, along with thousands of lower level felony cases. Handled RCr 11.42 and CR 60.02 appeals. Brought 564 Grand Jury Indictments in 2018 alone. Worked with Kentucky State Police, Drug Task Forces, Police Departments, Sheriff’s Departments, Cabinet for Families & Children, Probation & Parole, Child Support Offices and Circuit Clerk’s Offices. Led two counties Multidisciplinary teams related to juvenile victims. Managed office, budget and staff of five. Coordinated with the Prosecutor’s Advisory Council (PAC). Have participated in mediation on numerous occasions. Have handled dozens of press conferences. Have taught in new prosecutor’s conference. Member of Child Fatality Team.
