Documented CMMI based measurement and process improvement techniques to provide additional insight into team maturity and growth and document business value for our customers.• Developed hardware architecture for a large scale, safety critical, weather forecasting and geographic information system that increased reliability, improved performance, and reduced the system footprint while reducing cost by nearly 25%.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:• Architected and Lead the development of a large, SharePoint based, inventory and mission management system. The system provides business process automation and enterprise resource planning capabilities to the department of defense’s satellite communications community. Built using C# and the .NET Frameworks 2.0 and 3.0 this system integrates with a variety of other satellite resource management systems to provide centralized oversight and planning from end-to-end.• Collaborated with Microsoft to provide architecture for the enterprise portal requested by the Fort Huachuca Garrison and the Fort Huachuca Directorate of Information Management. The portal will ultimately provide service to several thousand users and consolidate seven separate portals into a single infrastructure. Relying heavily on Server 2008 and Hyper-V technology, the architecture includes many virtualized components which minimize the hardware and software costs for the Garrison as well as its tenants. The architecture included the use of Active Directory Federation Services to integrate with the Army Knowledge Online single sign on provider to allow access to off-post users.• Designed, developed and deployed a proof of concept for tracking application migration progress for several thousand Army applications. The application made extensive use of workflow to track applications and migration related documentation. • Providing briefings to corporate and customer stakeholders in response to questions of ROI and Cost Benefit analysis of using Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies for their collaboration, records management, document management, and business intelligence needs.Key Achievements:• Expanded the customer base, within the scope of the current contract, to include three additional customer engagements for SharePoint development and architecture services.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:• Produced requirements, architecture, and design for a series of internal business process automation utilities such as project tracking tools, patch management reporting tools, log analysis tools, and activity reporting tools.• Administered Microsoft IIS web servers providing patch maintenance, performance tuning, delivery optimization, and security configurations.• Architected a Continuity of Operations Plan using a shared storage model for web site directory files and utilizing SAN based replication and boot from SAN technology to fail-over in emergency situations. Developed scripts to automate the networking changes required during failover.
