My goal is to synthesize 26 years of diverse aviation experience with a passion for urban design and community engagement. As an Air Force veteran, my military experience includes aircraft dispatch, airport operations, airport planning, heliport planning, and unmanned aerial vehicle operations. After my military career, I pursued my love of cities with a Master of City and Metropolitan Planning degree and a graduate certificate in Urban Design, where I studied new aviation-centric urban form concepts, such as the aerotropolis and airport urbanism. I am putting all this experience and knowledge to work in integrating Advanced Air Mobility into the existing urban fabric. I emphasize the word ‘integrate’. Integration is complementary to other modes of transportation, not a replacement, nor is it a silver bullet fix to existing woes. Through a deep collaborative effort, we can make AAM work for cities and citizens.
