CurrentI am a litigation attorney with over twenty-two (22) years of high-level experience before the United States Supreme Court, the Florida Supreme Court, other Florida Appellate Courts, Florida Circuit Courts, Federal District Courts, Federal Appellate Courts, Florida Administrative Tribunals and Federal Administrative Tribunals. I graduated at the top of my class at the University of Florida College of Law, where I attained many academic accolades. I also achieved the highest grade on the Florida Bar exam for February, 1992. I have achieved numerous professional honors. I frequently write and lecture on topics related to my areas of practice. In addition to construction litigation, I handle an extremely wide range of other matters. My practice area is broad, but it is matched by my years of experience and focus upon the individual needs of the client.I left my previous large law firm position in 2011 due to a car accident and resulting injuries. However, I recovered sufficiently from those injuries to begin practicing on a solo basis in January of 2012, and at this point am proud to say that I have completely recovered and, for the first time in a very long time, am free of all limitations on my ability to practice, and to do anything else that I chose to do. I achieved my recovery with the support of God, my family, and my friends. As a sole practitioner, I am enjoying being the captain of my own ship, although I do sometimes miss the daily, personal interactions within a larger firm. At some point, I must teach and share the benefits of my years of experience. I know that I can facilitate instruction in areas of law highly demanded in today's market place for new attorneys and teach in a way that facilitates a cleaner transition into the daily practice of law. In sum, the law has and continues to benefit me in ways too numerous to list here, and I hope to continue to contribute on a high level in the law for the remainder of my career.
