About Clinton Bishop

With over 24 years of experience in the field of radiology, I am passionate about educating and empowering the next generation of radiologic technologists as a program and clinical coordinator/instructor at South Plains College (SPC). I have a master's degree in radiology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and multiple skills in patient safety, radiology, and basic life support. As a program and clinical coordinator/instructor, I oversee the curriculum, accreditation, and clinical rotations of the radiologic technology program, as well as teach courses on radiographic procedures, anatomy, and pathology. I also mentor and coach students on their academic and career goals, and provide them with feedback and guidance on their clinical performance. Previously, I worked as a radiologic technologist at Lubbock Heart Hospital and Access Closure, where I performed diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, such as angiography, vascular closure, and cardiac catheterization. I also trained and supervised new staff, maintained quality standards, and ensured compliance with safety protocols. I am committed to advancing the radiology profession and enhancing the quality of patient care through education, innovation, and collaboration.
