Work for me has been a matter of adding value, value to the place as a whole and value to the individuals that make up the place. All too soon we are thrown into the work frenzy, meeting up with clients expectations, using the skills and expertise of our colleague's whilst forgetting thay these folks are human themselves. This has been my heart beat for the medical profession, seeing much more than flesh and bones, but seeing life and emotions, passions and disappointments, basically seeing humans. I started out with Volunteer service after my undergraduate years, where I worked with no payment for 6 months, serving and offering my services, night duty, day duty, working and giving my all to see that I add value to those around me. As the period elapsed, I got an internship position with Hospital Management Board Asaba, where I was Medical House Officer for a year, taking me through the four main specialties of medicine. Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics. I assisted with Surgeries and handled casualties, I clerked patients and did proper workups for patients. I suffered heart ache seeing my patients pass on and exhilarating joy seeing the multitudes that came in battered, but left full of life and hope. I saw babies born and mother's cuddling their love bundles for the first time. Medicine saw to the general well being of patients, sharpening my diagnostic prowress and therapeutic know-how. Indeed, knowledge makes a difference_knowledge of medicine makes a difference.I moved on to service year and here I was put in to cover a health centre, UNIOSUN health centre Ifetedo Campus, a rural area, where I administered therapy to Students and staff of the Hospital, with no mortalities, 98% success of treatment and overall joy to the community. Also, I served to engage in multiple rural outreaches, using this talent to be a blessing to those who would not have an opportunity to see a doctor, but they deserve one.
