Beginning as a parts delivery driver to local body shops and collision centers, pulling orders from our two warehouses and having the invoices signed accordingly. Leading to a promotion one month later to Warehouse Manager. Responsibilities including dispatching up to four drivers, creating concise logistics routes to optimize customer satisfaction/ retention, re-organizing warehouse inventory to a more functional and user friendly environment while maintaining inventory control, maintaining control of warranty parts scrap lists, and well as warranty returns, damage claim returns, mislabeled returns, coordinating store orders, special orders, back orders from warehouses across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. With these roles, responsibilities, and good communication between management and other divisions within our department we were able to nearly double our inventory. Thus, leading to another promotion as Parts Consultant. Here roles included training back of house (BOH) employees while answering calls from the wholesale customers, dealership service shop, as well as retail customers at the front of house. Going on outages, door to door confrontation with potential wholesale clients, making cold calls, referring business to our department in every instance possible. Competing with experienced counterman with less than one year of service as a consultant. Once BOH staff was mostly self sufficient I was able to receive another promotion to the body shop where I was able to sustain the wholesale calls, order parts for in house collision repair vehicles, maintain/organize inventory of second warehouse, and occasionally give estimates when collision specialists were out of the office.
