As I shifted to my scientific career I designed a specialized, reduced role at Tower Records. Responsible for all aspects of developing distribution relations with independent publishers. Recruited new publications nationally and internationally; principally responsible for all new title purchases; developed collaborative projects with numerous publishers, including books, calendars, and other forms of print media.

Managed all aspects of newsstand operations for the country's most prestigious and unique national entertainment retailer. Oversaw product sales for the national chain (annual sale volume of $22mm). Sustained and systematic coordination with regional product personnel and store management. Negotiated, established, and maintained vendor relationships, including new product purchases and development of revenue-enhancing promotional programs. Managed the Tower Magazines distribution warehouse (24+ employees), including oversight of domestic (90+ stores) and international (30+ stores) shipping.

Coordinated with 8 regional product managers responsible for 90+ stores in 19 states. Responsible for onsite assessment of all aspects of newsstand operations (product presentation and sales, merchandising, employee training). Worked with established vendors to purchase and distribute new products to both national and international retail locations. Managed the Tower Magazines distribution warehouse (24+ employees).
