I am pleased to have developed into an experienced corporate dealmaker and builder of businesses, formally educated and personally experienced with the financial, legal, and people issues that face the entire lifecycle of an organization. Having begun with the discipline of military life and early professional lessons learned from institution building assignments in Latin America, I shifted to the corporate world in 1995 and have since seen companies born, grow, and, at times, wither and disappear. Because I have done this not only both as an outside advisor and as a principal but also as an investment banker, a broker, a lawyer, an investor, a strategic consultant, a buyer, and a seller; I have developed a holistic view that my employers, employees, clients, and counterparties find extremely beneficial to getting things done, whether that be deals closing or new offices, facilities and branches opening. I continue to enjoy my work tremendously, especially when it involves cross border work, new challenges from which others might shy away, and/or sharing my knowledge with younger professionals.
