Performed analyses and recommended strategies to inform decision making that led FIMA to refinance $5 billion, borrow an additional $13.5 billion, and pay over $750 million of interest expenses to-date. Recommendations for borrowing structure have led the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) to save nearly $2 billion in projected 10-year interest expenses. • Spearheaded development of a Sound Financial Framework, which is the development of financial tools for the NFIP. Efforts include reviewing, developing, and analyzing legislative and administrative proposals.
