Hello, I'm Clinton. A young adult that has been taught life lessons ever since I've been in the womb. I've grown up against the norm and every day I choose to pave my path in life.Ever since I was a young teen in high school, I knew I wanted to be in the tech industry. I've always had a passion for hardware. That passion became a fixation on figuring out how most devices and appliances worked. That fixation led me to become an IT Technician at one of the leading wholesale liquor stores in the region. Yam's Liquor Store. After a year working as an IT Technician, I wasn't satisfied. Since there's an aspect of tech I didn't have my hands on. Software. So, I applied to Microverse, a software engineering program which accepts less than 0.5% of applicants, in hopes of becoming a competitive full stack web developer. I applied, got accepted and completed that program and was confident in my ability to create and manage applications from scratch. I gained a year's worth of real-world experience as a full-stack web developer, sharpening my front-end and back-end technology skills. Some of the technologies I'm confident with are HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, Ruby, and Ruby on Rails. I've also developed strong skills in remote collaboration, utilizing industry-standard tools and methods like Git, GitHub and Gitflow. But just like technology, I didn't plan on stop developing.Being from a family of business owners and entrepreneurs, I am drawn to the business side of development. Conversing with clients to understand their challenges and utilizing technology tools to solve their problems is a process I dream about. This dream was made a reality when I encountered Keen360 and got the opportunity to expand my skillset. At Keen360 I solved real world problems for businesses as a tech consultant. A repetitive process that I enjoyed.Under the capacity of Technical Solutions Consultant/Developer at Keen360. I conversed with clients, gathered their needs, then developed and implemented solutions to solve their problems and streamline processes. After having a taste of the many sides of the technological sphere. I'm now putting all I've learn to the test by undertaking the position of Business Development Manager at Yam's Liquor Store.

My ability to express my understanding of concepts and processes in a flowing manner. I was constantly exercising this skill by doing lots of client-facing activities. From partaking in networking events like job fairs and business conferences, doing virtual and in-person demonstrations of the systems we implemented, being involved in discovery calls and initial interactions with potential clients, as well as being in person support for clients. -

It TechnicianYam'S Liquor Store Aug 2021 - Aug 2022Georgetown, Demerara-Mahaica, GuyanaHere at Yam's Liquor Store, I was the point of contact for all technical support. It's a wholesale store which had 10-15 employees at the time. The skills I developed include:1. Troubleshooting Skills: I regularly diagnosed and resolved hardware and software issues. This experience helped me develop strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.2. Attention to Detail: Paying attention to detail was crucial for ensuring that computer systems were configured correctly and that issues are accurately diagnosed and resolved. I believe this skill will prove to be very valuable in web development, where even small errors can cause significant problems.3. Time Management: I had to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize them, and manage my time effectively to meet deadlines.4. Communication Skills: I was the point of contact for all technical support, which required effective communication skills. I needed to understand the users' problems, explain technical concepts in a non-technical manner, and provide instructions or guidance on a regular basis.5. Customer Service: I interacted with users and provided technical support. This experience helped me to develop strong customer service skills, such as patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging situations.
