About Clio Y. M. Cheng

With over seven years of experience in gerontology research, I am a PhD candidate at The University of Hong Kong, where I apply my skills in mixed methods research and R programming to explore gerontechnology acceptance and adoption among older adults. As part of a transdisciplinary project, I am developing intelligent robotics for elderly assistance (i-REACH) that aims to improve the quality of life and well-being of older adults and their families. I am also interested in the cultural differences in technology acceptance between older adults residing in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, and how to design effective health communication strategies to enhance their technology literacy and engagement. I am driven by the mission to create innovative and user-friendly technology solutions that cater to the needs and preferences of the aging population.
