As the Director of Technology & Innovation, it is my responsibility to identify educational technology tools, resources, and best practices and to train staff on implementation in the classroom. My role allows me to work with staff members across all grade levels and all content areas. As a Google Apps For Education school district, it is my responsibility to train staff (including teachers, office staff, fellow administrators, and Board of Education members) on effective use of the suite of tools to maximize efficiency and productivity. I also oversee the Enriching Minds after school enrichment program, participate in an EdTech Consortium with surrounding districts, support fellow administrators with daily administrative tasks, observe and manage staff, act as a liaison to the Education Foundation of Morris Plains, apply for grant monies and awards to support innovation in our schools, design both flipped and in-person professional development opportunities for staff both in our district and the surrounding area, budget for district-wide technology purchases, and more. I am also the district leader in Personalized Learning and our iSTEAM initiative.
