As a subject matter expert in Anaqua software and intellectual property I work closely with the Product and Sales teams to consult with prospects and clients to ensure their needs are understood and triaged with solutions proposed or future product enhancements considered. As Sales Engineer I work in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical/IP advisor and product specialist for Anaqua’s extensive product suite: demonstrating and advising how Anaqua’s products meet business users’ needs. I have travelled extensively, working with a breadth of prospects & clients in North America, EMEA & APAC from a variety of technical fields across both the corporate and legal space. I have advised leading IP experts on industry best practices and provided consultation on how to optimise their IP and business processes. With patent analytics experience I have also been able to utilise our search software to better understand a prospect’s current IP state and industry landscape in order to provide strategic advice.

I am responsible for selling two of the core Anaqua IP solutions into SME-MSB sized corporates and law firms across Europe - helping organisations to improve their internal patent & trademark management and IP processes.

ClearViewIP is a leading international IP strategy consultancy focused primarily on start-ups, university spin-outs, SMEs and mid-sized companies across a number of key and emerging technology sectors. As a start-up organization in its growth phase I came onboard to create a new Business Development function to promote the ClearViewIP brand and increase their client base. With IP experience, I worked with Senior Management to implement a formal business development process and was involved in client prospecting, pitches and presentations and proposals, including corporate and academic tenders to help increase business revenue. I was also responsible for a number of campaigns, one of the most successful being the infographic series, which required conducting patent landscaping & IP/market research to identify technology trends, gaps and predictions in order to design marketing collateral. As CVIP were also founding members of INTIPSA (International Intellectual Property Strategists Association) I was involved in the development and promotion of the INTIPSA brand and network; to raise awareness of their support within the IP community.

In 2011 I launched the Product Marketing Advisory Service to mentor clients in starting up their businesses and taking their new product idea to market. This involved client consultations, IP & product licensing advice and business strategy planning to provide clients with the industry leads and know-how necessary to successfully commercialise or develop their IP. I helped both individual inventors and established start-up companies with business plans, investment solutions and long term strategies. As a senior member of the team at Innovate, I also spoke at IP events and training workshops to audiences consisting primarily of patent attorneys and industry experts.

As Client Manager at Innovate, I was responsible for advising and managing clients through the new product development process. This included initial concept evaluation and IP advice, conducting industry and IP research and working with the design team to take an idea through to a market-viable product. I was then able to advise and support them on creating and submitting their patent application as well as providing ongoing support throughout prosecution and development, as required. I completed a Masters module in conjunction with Coventry University to become an accredited UK IPO IP Advisor.
