About Chris Lipscombe

I have over 20 years of experience managing databases, websites, servers, and networks for a number of different organizations. I have extensive experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and have worked with a number of frameworks, especially WordPress and Laravel. I currently manage all the data systems for the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative, including their primary database, WordPress/BuddyBoss websites, networks, and hardware. I also develop processes to allow CYC to analyze and report on the data collected by our programs, especially for both federal and local grants. During my time at CYC I have upgraded many of their systems, moving them from a number of individual program databases to a centralized system that supports an totally online application process. Much of this custom work is done in PHP.I have performed translation services for a variety of clients. I have done work for CBS's The Big Bang Theory, IDW Comics, Cryptic Studio's Star Trek Online video game, several newspapers, and a number of smaller organizations. I have also translated two plays. My first was A Klingon Christmas Carol, which has been showing to sold out audiences for over 10 years. My second is a holiday play for the Mounds Theatre in Saint Paul, MN, called "It's An Honourable Life".I also volunteer time as an Assistant Director within the Klingon Language Institute, a non-profit organization. My responsibilities including managing the KLI's WordPress/BuddyBoss based website and handling product fulfillment.
