After 35 years in the world of large accountancy firms, it is time to step outside.I have so much to be grateful for and have achieved more than I ever dreamt I could,  thanks to the those who have provided their encouragement and mentorship to enable me to fulfil my potential, so far.I am where I am today because of the excellent foundational training gained in the Big 4. The belief that Grant Thornton placed in me by making me a partner, the team I worked with to grow a £12m, award-winning, Employer Solutions team, from scratch, before having the privilege of leading a wonderful group of Grant Thornton London Tax partners,  during which time we lead the London Tax business through one of its most successful periods of growth, from £32m to £40m.  And most recently, the opportunity at Mazars to invest in and then grow the Specialist Tax Services team by 28% in two years.Looking back, I will treasure most, those colleagues who are now great friends.So, what am I stepping out into?  I’m not quite sure yet, to be honest! I am finding the space to focus on what I am most passionate about; working with clients to help them solve their Global Mobility, and potentially wider business challenges, as well as working with people to help them on their personal growth journeys.The world of Global Mobility is changing rapidly as new technology is disrupting the traditional way of doing things and making it easier for smaller boutique businesses to support clients with their global challenges, so I’ll be focusing my energy on that. In addition, I have had the privilege of being coached by some great people and have gained a great deal of satisfaction from coaching others.
