Working in the Vision and camera department, my daily tasks include advising customers on their photography and visual needs, making sure the stock is all demo ready and accurately described and priced with appropriate accessories next to products to maximise the customers experience with their purchase.

As a KnowHow Engineer Team Leader, I was responsible for the everyday running of the KnowHow department.These tasks included the daily auditing of current jobs and repairs, keeping customers up-to date with progress of their jobs, chasing and booking jobs on a manual basis and daily paperwork.This was all done together with the day to day serving of the customers at the KnowHow counter, this included, problem solving, Service providing, one to one training and advice, dealing with irate and sometimes aggressive situations.Durring my time as a team leader I was also involved in several large scale meetings and service launches in which I was often required to partake in organising, preparing and presenting to a large, senior audience.

As a TechGuy Engineer I was responsible for in house repairs on customers Home PC and Laptop Computers, including Printers, Monitors and a whole host of other electrical devices.I worked closely with a group of engineers in a retail environment and gave customers help and support with their products and also maintained the daily paperwork and systems admin.

Feeling i could use my skills obtained from working in Customer Services for several years, I widened my skills by spending time on the shop floor, selling computing solutions to customers in the height of the home computer boom.It was fast paced, and very enjoyable. I got a lot of job satisfaction from this period at PC World.
