I have over 30 years sea-going experience in all ranks on General Cargo, Tanker, and Bulk Carriers with over 18 years as Master on Cape and Gearbulk carriers and General Cargo vessels.I have extensive ship-handling experience in a variety of different sized vessels. With extensive experience in the loading, carriage and discharge of a wide range of Bulk and Break Bulk Cargoes, ranging from Grain type, various Ore / Concentrates, Steel, Steel Products, Timber and Forestry Products, Containers, Project Cargo, and Concentrated Orange Juice.Have long experience in the on board training of British and Filipino Deck Cadets.During my time as Master have embarked on fixed trading routes as well as worldwide tramping voyages. Such routes as:- • Asia / Far East to Canada and West Coast U.S.A, in all seasons. • Asia / Australia to Brazil via Magellan then Brazil to Asia via Singapore in all seasons. • Asia / Far East to South America to Far East in all seasons.• South America to Europe to South America in all seasons. South America to Europe to U.S. East Coast to South America in all seasons. • Europe to British Columbia to Europe via Panama in all seasons. Specialist cargoes:- Concentrated Orange Juice from Brazil to Australia.Break bulk cargoes:- Portainer container crane in break bulk form from Korea to U.S. West Coast.Have safely navigated and crossed the North Atlantic from Europe to U.S. East Coast with a twisted rudder stock.
