Seeking role as non-executive director or advisory board member.I am passionate about the challenges of translating robust ideas into practice. Essential elements of which are understanding and communicating the strengths and limitations of these various ideas, including the cost and benefits of implementing them or of not doing so.I believe that the most robust and successful solutions to problems are achieved through diversity, in terms of background, experience and approach of those who advise the executive directors and management of an enterprise.The majority of my career has been spent working in the financial sector, where for many years I specialised in the application of quantitative techniques to product development, asset management and risk management. My early career included stints in manufacturing engineering, consumer retail and the UK Civil Service.Recently, I have been drawing on this broad experience as a consultant. As such I have assisted a range of institutional clients, including asset managers, pension funds and other investment consultants. In addition, I provide teaching and corporate training services in finance, investment, corporate governance, ethics and particularly investment risk and risk management. I also teach financial risk management at a postgraduate level and have held positions as a visiting lecturer at the Universities of Kent and Leicester.
