Co-Author

"Windows Source" Disassembly Software

Worked with the illustrious Andrew Schulman to add support for the 32-bit executable file formats beginning to appear with the release of Windows 95, NT and OS/2. Ultimately took over the development of the Windows Source add-on to V Communications' Sourcer disassembler. In the late 80's and early 90's Sourcer was predominant DOS disassembler used for code analysis and reverse engineering efforts. The effectiveness of Sourcer's powerful internal code and data analysis could be refined and leveraged with user editable definition files to rapidly refine the quality of the output listings. Over the years support for new Intel processors has been added.Windows Source originally appeared with the release of Windows 3.x, and provided a method to quickly process and identify the new executable file formats into definition files for Sourcer. As hardware and operating systems migrated from 16-bit to 32-bit Windows Source functionality was expanded to support the emerging formats.
