Matched available staff and retreat participants with needed positions as we flexed between seasonal staffing needs.Planned and managed the recruitment, screening, and placement of over 300 temporary full-time volunteer staff for a summer season.

Managed talent management and staff recruitment for the SYDA Foundation.

P&L responsibility for software products. Grew the software business to $25 million in turnover with a development, support and marketing staff of 70 people. Generated over half of the net margin for the company.Led a cross-functional team to improve the product development process. Designed and implemented a stage-gate process which formalized the decision points around new product development for the first time and brought product development into alignment with business strategy.

Started up the European operation and distribution channels for the software division. Established a total of 25 distributors in 14 countries. Grew sales by over 100% over an 18 month period and established a market leadership position in Europe

Led a business turn-around. Reversed a trend of declining sales and profitability by aligning the owning partners around a strategy of increased investment in marketing, particularly advertising. The result was a successful IPO valuing the company at over $90 million – at the time, the largest Internet IPO in UK history.
